Warning
Chrome is the recommended browser for optimal performance with the Zephyr framework, as it utilizes modern web technologies that Chrome can render most effectively. While other modern browsers like Edge and Firefox may also function, they might not provide the same level of compatibility.
Using a browser other than Chrome may result in certain user interface elements not being displayed correctly in the Zephyr application. For example, users might encounter issues such as extra scroll bars, unresponsive buttons, and text that is not selectable. To ensure the best experience, it is recommended that you use Chrome.
Oracle JDK license update
Important
Oracle has recently changed the licensing terms for Java Standard Edition 17.0.13 or later (required by Zephyr). Following is a detailed summary of the impact and what Zephyr is doing about this:
Note
Java embedded with Linux OS distribution will not work with Zephyr.
Oracle JDK 17.0.13 is not available for commercial use under Oracle’s Binary Code License Agreement (BCLA). If you intend to use it in a production environment, you will need to obtain a commercial license from Oracle. Alternatively, you may consider using OpenJDK, which is an open-source alternative to Oracle JDK.
OpenJDK (the recommended Java version) can be downloaded from https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase/jdk17-archive-downloads.html
Oracle Java SE 17.0.13 or later can be downloaded from https://www.oracle.com/in/java/technologies/downloads/#java17
Remember to keep your JDK up to date for security and performance improvements. For further details, refer to the official release notes.
We recommend using OpenJDK to avoid potential vulnerability and additional costs to our customers.
