Applies to AQTime 8.81, last modified on January 18, 2022

This topic describes the changes made to AQTime 8.22. For information on the changes made to other versions of the product, see Version History.

Visual Studio 2013 Support

AQTime 8.22 introduces full support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2013. This means that --

  • You can profile managed and unmanaged 32- and 64-bit applications created with Microsoft Visual Studio 2013.

  • AQTime integrates into Visual Studio 2013 allowing you to profile your applications directly within the IDE.

  • You can extend Visual Studio test projects with AQTime projects and run them in Visual Studio or as part of team builds.

See Integration With Microsoft Visual Studio.

Support for Embarcadero RAD Studio XE7

  • With AQTime, you can now optimize 32- and 64-bit Delphi and C++Builder applications created with RAD Studio XE7.

  • AQTime integrates its panels, menus and dialogs into RAD Studio XE7, so you can now profile your applications without leaving the IDE.

Enhanced Support for 64-bit C++Builder

  • The Allocation Profiler can now profiler applications created with 64-bit versions of C++Builder XE3–XE7.

More Improvements

  • AQTime consumes less memory on Windows 8.1 now.

  • The new version includes an improved algorithm of reading debug information of the DWARF format. This format is used, for example, by 64-bit C++Builder applications.

    The new algorithm is more precise in detecting functions’ borders in memory. This makes the Coverage profiling more accurate. Besides, now AQTime can “see” functions that it missed before. This helps it, for example, detect more memory leaks during the Allocation profiling.

  • A number of bugs have been fixed.
