You cannot activate TestLeft licenses on virtual computers.

To run automated tests in a virtual environment, use virtual computers as workstations where tests are running, but do not activate TestLeft licenses on virtual computers. The recommended approach to run TestLeft tests on virtual computers is as follows:

  1. Select a physical computer.

  2. If you have a Floating User license, this computer will be your License Manager PC. Activate your TestLeft license on that computer.

If you have a Node-Locked license, install TestLeft on that computer and create tests.

  3. Use TestLeft or TestExecute or TestComplete licensed with a Floating User license to run automated tests in a virtual environment:

    • Activate your TestLeft or TestExecute or TestComplete license on a physical computer.

Make sure that your virtual computers are connected to your local network and have access to the computer.

    • Install TestLeft/TestExecute/TestComplete instances on virtual computers.
