Updating TestLeft Trial Version to Commercial Version

This page is related to key-based licenses — a regular license type. For information on the new ID-based license type, see SmartBear ID-based Licenses.

To replace the trial version of TestLeft with a commercial version, you need to replace the trial license key with the “commercial” key that you get after purchasing TestLeft. There is no need to reinstall TestLeft.

Important Notes
  • You cannot replace the trial license of TestLeft with another trial license of this product. If you try to do this, an error will occur. You can replace the trial version of the product only with the commercial version (for more information, see below).

  • You cannot activate commercial licenses of TestLeft in a virtual environment. If your trail license is activated on a cloud computer or on a virtual machine, you will not be able to update it to the commercial version. Activate your commercial license on a physical computer.

  1. Log in to your SmartBear Account:

    https://my.smartbear.com

  2. Open the TestLeft product page and find the license key on it.

  3. Activate the license key on your computer as described in Activating Licenses.

After you activated the commercial key, the trial key becomes invalid.
