TestExecute displays this message if an error occurs at one of the following steps when you are creating or editing an issue-tracking item:

  • Initializing and connecting to the data store.
  • Logging in.
  • Selecting projects, item types and selecting the desired item (if you use your issue-tracking template to modify items).
  • Searching for item fields.
  • Attaching a file.

The text in the dialog describes the error that occurred.

Note: The error can occur if you are trying to use a global issue-tracking template that was created after you had opened your test project in TestExecute.

To use global issue-tracking templates, reopen your test project after you create or configure your global template in TestExecute.
