You use the Select Work Item dialog to specify the item that is stored in an issue-tracking system and that will be modified by an issue-tracking template you create in the Template Editor dialog. TestExecute will use this template to modify the item in the issue-tracking database specified by template properties.
To call the dialog, click the ellipsis button of the Item Id edit field of the Template Editor dialog. The call is possible only if you specify a valid connection, project and item type in the edit fields of the Template Editor:
The Select Item dialog lists items that belongs to the project specified in the Project field of the Template Editor and that have type specified in the Item Type field of the Template Editor.
The dialog displays several item fields. To find the desired item quickly, you can sort or filter the list on a column.
To choose the item for a template, select it in the list and click OK. Cancel will close the dialog without specifying the item.
