To call the General Options dialog, right-click the TestExecute icon () in the notification area (tray), select Options from the ensuing context menu and then select Engines | General from the tree displayed on the left side of the resulting Options dialog.
You can change the following options --
-
Enable support for testing Windows Store applications (requires restart) - It is available only if you run TestExecute on Windows 8.1 or later. If this option is enabled (by default), TestExecute supports testing of Windows Store applications.
If you disable or enable the option, restart TestExecute for the change to come into effect.
Note: With the Windows Store applications support enabled, TestExecute stops supporting several test features you may want to use: -
Automating TestExecute via COM (to do this, you need to configure your application in a certain manner).
-
Running tests in Connected and Self-Testing Applications (the applications will not be able to connect to TestExecute).
-
You may also experience problems with various tools that launch TestExecute via COM or command line.
For detailed information on support for testing Windows Store applications, see TestComplete documentation.
