An Open Application is an application instrumented for white-box testing in TestComplete. Open Applications provide access to their internal objects, methods and properties, so you can work with them from tests. Tests recorded for Open Applications are easier to understand, as they refer to application objects and their properties, rather than only those defined by the Windows user interface.
