Error 1304. Error writing to file tcWPFHelpers.dll

This error occurs if TestExecute’s installation program fails to install the tcWPFHelpers.dll assembly, which is part of TestExecute’s WPF Controls Support feature, in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) on the computer.

Possible Cause Solution
Your user account does not have permissions to write files to the Global Assembly Cache (GAC). Ensure that you run the installation using an administrator account, as stated in User Permissions.

If your user account does not have administrator privileges on the computer where you are installing TestExecute, contact your system administrator for assistance.

The .NET Framework installation is corrupted. Repair the .NET Framework by running the .NET Framework installation program in the maintenance mode and selecting the Repair option:
  1. Open the Control Panel | Programs and Features applet.

  2. Locate the .NET Framework in the list and click Change. The .NET Framework setup program opens.

  3. Select the Repair option (or similar) and click Next.

  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the repair procedure.

  5. If you have several versions of .NET Framework installed, you need to repair all of them.
