TestComplete displays this message when the name or location specified for a project suite, project, project item or project item child element is invalid. There are two reasons for this:
- The specified path or file name includes invalid characters (
:,?,*,",<or>). To solve the problem, do not use invalid characters. - In TestComplete, the element name defines the name of a file that holds the element’s data. The use of long names may produce long file names that exceed the Windows limit (260 characters). To solve the problem, please specify a shorter name so that the resulting file name does not violate the limit.
