Message - The folder where a new project is going to be created contains at least one TestComplete project.

Applies to TestComplete 15.73, last modified on March 04, 2025

The name of a new project coincides with the name of the folder where the project will be created. This message is displayed if the destination folder already contains one or more TestComplete project files (*.mds), which can cause conflicts between the new and existing projects and their items. This usually happens if you manually changed the project suiteā€™s file structure, for example, if you renamed existing project folders.

In order to avoid possible conflicts, it is recommended that you specify another name (and, thus, location) for the project. To do this, click Yes.

To keep the original project name and create it in the corresponding folder regardless of the existing projects, click No.
