Message - The folder where the new project is going to be created already exists and is not empty.

Applies to TestComplete 15.73, last modified on March 04, 2025

When you create a new test project in TestComplete, the project is created in a folder with the same name as the project name. This message is displayed if the destination folder already exists on the disk and is not empty. For example, this folder may contain files (keyword tests, scripts and so on) used by other test projects. In this case, creating a new project in this folder may overwrite the existing files and result in the data loss.

To avoid possible conflicts with the existing files, it is recommended that you specify another name (and, therefore, location) for the project. To do this, click Yes in the message box and then correct the project name.

To keep the original project name and create it in the corresponding folder regardless of its existing contents, click No.
