(Obsolete) Run TestComplete Tests From Visual Studio

Applies to TestComplete 15.68, last modified on October 16, 2024

Starting from version 14.70, the TestComplete integration with Visual Studio is obsolete. The integration package has been removed from the TestComplete installation.

To run TestComplete tests as part of Azure DevOps builds and releases, you can use the TestComplete test adapter instead. See Integration With Azure DevOps and Team Foundation Server via TestComplete Test Adapter.

If you are still using the obsolete integration to run TestComplete tests as part of Azure builds and releases, we strongly recommend that you move to using the test adapter.

If you have a TestComplete version that still supports the integration or if you have legacy Visual Studio projects that have TestComplete tests included, to learn about the integration, you can do any of the following:

  • View the embedded documentation that came with your TestComplete version. To do this, select Help > Index from the TestComplete main menu.

– or –

  • View the online version of the TestComplete documentation appropriate to your TestComplete version. To do this, click the Applies to link at the top of the page and then click the needed version.
