When does the error occur?

The error occurs when you are opening a TestComplete project the test items of which are linked to an Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server team project’s test cases.

Why is the message shown?

The message is shown because TestComplete has failed to connect to your team project and retrieve data on test cases linked to your project’s test items. This can happen because, for example, your Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server is not available from your current computer.

Workarounds

Make sure that you can access your Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server team project and its test cases.
