Unbinding From Team Foundation Version Control

Applies to TestComplete 15.47, last modified on January 20, 2023

If you do not need to store your project (or project suite) in your team project repository in Azure DevOps Services or Azure DevOps Server or Team Foundation Server any longer, you can unbind it from Team Foundation Version Control.

Requirements

  • Your TestComplete project must be bound to an Azure DevOps team project.

The project must not be bound to any other source control.

  • Your TestComplete workstation must have network access to Azure DevOps.

  • Your Azure DevOps account must have permission to access the repository files.

  • TestComplete must be configured to use the Team Foundation Source Control plugin as the source control provider. You can check whether TestComplete is configured correctly in its Tools > Options > Source Control dialog.

To unbind your project

  • In TestComplete, open the project that you want to unbind and then select File > Source Control > Unbind From Team Foundation Server from the TestComplete main menu.

– or –

  • Right-click your project or project suite in the Project Explorer and then click Source Control > Unbind From Team Foundation Server.

– or –

  • Click Unbind From Team Foundation Server on the Source Control toolbar (if the toolbar is hidden, right-click the toolbar area and select Source Control).

Note: If there is no access to the Azure DevOps team project, these menu items may be hidden or disabled.

TestComplete will unbind your project (or project suite) from Team Foundation Version Control and delete it from the team project. Your local copy of the project (or project suite) will remain in place. It will not be affected by unbinding.
