Unable to Interact With the Running LoadComplete Instance

Applies to TestComplete 15.47, last modified on January 20, 2023

When you command TestComplete to create a load test using another SmartBear product, LoadComplete, and TestComplete fails to automate LoadComplete, it will show an error message.

Most likely, this happens because –

  • The LoadComplete process has elevated permissions in comparison with TestComplete. For instance, you had a running instance of LoadComplete when you began load test creation in TestComplete, and you started this LoadComplete instance with administrator privileges, while TestComplete has no these privileges.

– or –

  • LoadComplete is running under another user account.

If you had started LoadComplete before you commanded TestComplete to create a load test, close LoadComplete and try again (let TestComplete to launch LoadComplete automatically).

In addition, make sure both that applications have the same privilege level.
