Testing web services with TestComplete is obsolete. We recommend that you use ReadyAPI, another SmartBear's automated testing tool for SOAP and REST web services. If needed, you can run ReadyAPI tests from TestComplete. |
Before creating a web service checkpoint, add a WebService project element to your TestComplete project. This element provides scripting access to the web service’s methods. If your project does not contain WebService elements, you cannot create a web service checkpoint.
On the Select Web Service to Check page of the wizard, specify the web service method whose result the checkpoint will verify:
-
Select the WebService project element that corresponds to the web service under test (you need to create such an element for each web service under test).
-
Choose the web service method whose result value will be verified.
Click Next to continue with checkpoint creation. Cancel will close the wizard and abort the checkpoint creation.
