Default Project Properties - Java Options

Applies to TestComplete 15.10, last modified on December 15, 2021

The Open Applications > Java group specifies the default values of the Open Applications > Java properties that are used for new TestComplete projects. This group is only available if:

  • You have an active license for the TestComplete Desktop module.

  • The Java Application Support plugin is enabled in TestComplete. This plugin is installed and enabled by default during the TestComplete installation.

To view or change the default options, select Tools > Default Project Properties from the main menu of TestComplete and then choose Project > Open Applications > Java from the tree on the left of the ensuing Default Project Properties dialog.

You can change the following option:

  • Do not recognize child windows of an SWT control as the same SWT control - Specifies how TestComplete recognizes Java controls that contain several windows. The option value is assigned to the appropriate project property when the project is created. You can then modify them on the Project Properties - Java Options page of the project editor.

To save the changes you made to options and close the dialog, press OK. Cancel will close the dialog discarding any changes.
