Object Checkpoint Wizard - Select Baseline Data Page

Applies to TestComplete 15.10, last modified on December 15, 2021
Object checkpoints are deprecated. We do not recommend using them. Use property checkpoints instead.

On this page of the Create Object Checkpoint wizard, you can select the Stores | Objects collection element that will hold the baseline data for comparison. The following options are available:

  • Retrieve data from an object

Select this option to use the current data of the previously selected object as the baseline data. In this case, TestComplete will create a new item in the project’s Stores | Objects collection that will hold the object data.

In the Stores object name field, enter the name of the Objects collection item to create. The default name generated by TestComplete is based on object name. If an item already exists in the Objects collection under the same name, it will be overwritten.

After you have specified the item name, click Next to proceed with the checkpoint creation. To change the object to be verified, click Back.

  • Use a stored object data

Select this option to verify an object data against data stored in an existing item of the project’s Stores | Objects collection. Choose the desired item from the Stores object name list.

After you have specified the existing Stores | Objects collection element, click Finish to exit the wizard and add the object checkpoint to your test. To change the object to be verified, click Back.
