The TestComplete installation program allows repairing your TestComplete installation in case it has been corrupted or inadvertently deleted. The repair procedure restores corrupted and missing files from the TestComplete installation, TestComplete-specific registry keys, file associations and others.
Before you start repairing the TestComplete installation, consider the following:

Your user account must have administrator permissions in order to repair TestComplete.

The repair procedure resets the TestComplete settings to default. You may want to export your customized settings to a file so that you can restore them after repair. For more information, see Exporting and Importing Custom User Settings.
To repair TestComplete:

Close TestComplete, if it is running, as well as Microsoft Visual Studio, web browsers and any other open applications that TestComplete supports or integrates with.

In the Control Panel, open Programs and Features.

Locate SmartBear TestComplete 14 in the list and click Change. The TestComplete installation wizard opens.

In the Welcome screen, select Repair and click Next to proceed.

In the confirmation box that asks whether you want to continue, click Yes.

Wait until the repair procedure completes and click Finish in the Repair Complete screen.
