Add Tested Application Wizard

The Add Tested Application wizard assists you in adding information on tested applications to the Tested Applications collection of your project. TestComplete will use that information to launch or install test applications automatically from tests or from IDE.

To call the wizard, do the following:

  • Right-click somewhere within the TestedApps editor and choose Add Application from the context menu.

  • Right-click the TestedApps node in the Project Explorer and choose New Item from the context menu.

On the first page of the wizard, you choose the type of the tested application you want to add to the project. The following application types are available:

  • Generic Windows application - Select this option if you want to add a generic Windows application (Delphi, C++, .NET, WPF and so on) to the list of tested applications.

  • Mobile Web Application - Select this option if you want to add a web page you open in a mobile browser emulator to the list of tested applications.

  • Java application - Select this option if you want to add a Java application or a Java Web Start application to the list of tested applications.

  • Adobe AIR application - Select this option if you want to add an out-of browser Adobe AIR application to the list of tested applications.

  • ClickOnce application - Select this option if you want to add a ClickOnce application to the list of tested applications.

  • Android application - Select this option if you want to add an Android installation package (.apk) to the list of tested applications.

  • iOS application - Select this option if you want to add an iOS application archive (.ipa) to the list of tested applications.

  • Windows Store application - Select this option to add a Windows Store application to the list of tested applications. (Available only on Windows 8 and later.)

On the other pages of the wizard, you specify the launch parameters for the selected application.
