The object-driven testing (ODT) functionality is deprecated. Do not use it to create new tests. It will be removed from the product in one of the future releases. As an alternative, you can create custom classes in your scripts. For more information, see Alternatives to the ODT functionality.
You must have the following plugins enabled:
-
ODT - This plugin is required if you want to perform object-driven testing in TestComplete. The plugin provides the ODT project item (which must be then added to the needed projects manually). Also, the plugin provides the
ODT
program object, which is available if this project item is included in the given project. -
ODT Editor - Provides editors that let you configure classes and data for the object-driven test. See ODT Editor, Data Editor and Classes Editor.
These plugins are installed and enabled by default during the TestComplete installation. You can check their status in the File > Install Extensions dialog. You can find them in the Common group.
