TestComplete provides you with a number of features that affect working with toolbars and menus. You can dock toolbars, hide additional buttons, customize the toolbars' and menus' options and so on. To learn more about the items of TestComplete toolbars and menus, see TestComplete Toolbars and Menus.
You can customize TestComplete toolbars and menus like you customize toolbars and menus in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET or in other Microsoft products, such as Word or Excel. These are common tasks that you can perform on TestComplete toolbars and menus:
-
Dock TestComplete toolbars to any side of the TestComplete window (see Docking Toolbars).
-
Add buttons to or remove them from toolbars or menus (see Customizing Toolbars and Menus).
-
Hide or display additional buttons on toolbars (see Displaying and Hiding Toolbar Items).
-
Hide or display TestComplete toolbars with all items (see Displaying and Hiding Toolbars).
-
Specify animation for TestComplete menus (see Customizing Toolbar and Menu Options).
Another feature of TestComplete menus is that by default, they behave like the Recently Used Files list. It means that TestComplete automatically hides rarely used menu items and shows only the items that have been recently used. To learn more about this feature and about the ways of enabling and disabling it, see Customizing Toolbar and Menu Options.
You can also save and load toolbar settings, restore the default toolbar settings and so on. To learn more, see Saving and Loading Toolbar Settings.
