TestComplete 14 Service is an operating system service that is installed along with TestComplete (the file name is <TestComplete>\Bin\TestCompleteService14.exe). It is one of the basic TestComplete components. The service is used by TestComplete to perform helper tasks.
The service is also used for exchanging data among TestComplete projects that are run by a network suite. To run TestComplete tests on a remote computer, both the local and remote computer must have the TestComplete Service running. You can check whether the service is running in the Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services window.
Some antiviruses and firewalls may block TestComplete Service activities. In this case, you have to change their settings to allow the Service to work. See TestComplete and Antiviruses and TestComplete and Windows Firewall.
