Description

The Utilities.ExtractFilePath method extracts the drive and directory parts from the FileName parameter.

The method has the following parameter:

FileName

Specifies the file name from which the drive and directory parts should be extracted.

Result Value

A string that holds the drive and directory parts extracted from FileName. The resulting string consists of the leftmost characters of FileName, up to and including the colon or backslash that separates the path from the name and extension.

Remarks

This method is obsolete. It is supported for backward compatibility only. To extract the drive and directory parts from a file name, use the aqFileSystem.GetFileFolder or aqFileInfo.Path method.
