Applies to TestComplete 14.0, last modified on January 23, 2019

The Project Options dialog lets you specify default options that affect TestComplete projects.

To open the Project Options dialog, select Tools > Options from the main menu and then select General > Project from the tree displayed on the left side of the resulting Options dialog.

You can change the following options:

  • Default project folder - The full path to the folder in which TestComplete creates new projects by default.

  • Number of recently used projects to keep - The number of items in the list of recently used projects, which are available in the File > Recent menu and on the Start Page. The default value is 8.

  • Default language - The script language used by default in newly created TestComplete projects. You can select one of the following languages: JavaScript, Python, VBScript, DelphiScript and JScript.

  • At startup - What TestComplete should do after you launch it:

    • Open Start Page - TestComplete shows the Start Page.

    • Open last project - TestComplete loads the last test project you were working on. If you had no open project last time you closed TestComplete, TestComplete does not open any project.

    • Do nothing - TestComplete shows an empty workspace.
