Features Added to TestComplete 7.20

This topic describes the changes made to TestComplete 7.20. For information on the changes made to other versions of the product, see Version History.

  • Support for Windows 7. Now you can run your tests under Microsoft Windows 7 to ensure that your applications are ready for this new operating system.

  • Support for Firefox 3.5. The TestComplete Web Testing and Load Testing subsystems now support Firefox version 3.5.

  • Support for Silverlight 3. Now you can use TestComplete to test your Silverlight 3 applications.

  • New comparison setting of an XMLCheckpoint element. The XMLCheckpoint editor includes a new Extended logging setting that specifies whether the TestComplete report, generated during comparison, should include information on unchanged nodes of the compared documents. You can also enable this setting from script using a new XMLCheckpoint.Options.ExtendedLogging property.

  • Grouping of keyword test operations in Keyword Test editor. A new option category, Keyword Test Editor - Groups, allows you to customize and group keyword test operations in the Keyword Test editor. Using these settings, you can specify whether keyword test operations should be grouped with grouping nodes, specify the maximum number of grouping nodes displayed in the Keyword Test editor and select operations that will not affect grouping.

  • The Show PDA Controller when recording starts option has been moved to the Show Again Flags dialog from the Panels | PDA Options dialog. The Panels | PDA Options dialog has been removed.

  • A number of bugs have been fixed.
