Features Added to TestComplete 11.31

Applies to TestComplete 14.0, last modified on January 23, 2019

This topic describes the changes made to TestComplete 11.31. For information on the changes made to other versions of the product, see Version History.

  • Enhanced CEF support. The Chromium Embedded Framework Support plugin now uses the Pepper Plugin API (PPAPI) instead of the Netscape Plugin API (NPAPI), which Google announced obsolete. Using the new plugin does not require that you update your tests or test environments. All you need to do is to install TestComplete 11.31.

You can now test web applications that use the following versions of the Chromium Embedded Framework control: 3.2454, 3.2526, 3.2623.

  • TestComplete now supports Qt 5.0 - 5.6. The TestComplete 11.31 installer includes modules that provide support for these Qt versions. The modules that provide support for earlier versions of the Qt library can be downloaded from our web site:

    http://support.smartbear.com/downloads/testcomplete/qt-modules

  • Added support for Chrome 49 and Firefox 43–45.

  • Added support for iOS 9.3.

  • Better integration with Quality Center. HP QCConnector scripts now include a line that associates the TestComplete test log with Quality Center test runs. This way TestComplete logs can be saved in Quality Center not only when a test fails, but also when it passes.

    ScriptFile.WriteLine(" 'TDHelper.UpLoadAttachment fileNameLog, CurrentRun")

By default, the command is commented out. To uncomment it, remove the apostrophe before TDHelper. See also Attaching TestComplete Logs to QC Test Runs.

  • A number of bugs have been fixed.
