The Add DB Table Variable wizard allows you to create project, project suite or keyword test variables that provide access to external tabular data, such as database tables. You may get this message if the connection string, user name or password that you specified in the wizard is invalid, and therefore TestComplete cannot connect to the database. The message text also includes the error message returned by the database provider to help you identify the exact cause of the problem.
To solve the problem, make sure that the connection string, user name and password are valid. Note that to build a new connection string or modify an existing one, you can use the Data Link Properties wizard, which is invoked by clicking the ellipsis button in the Connection field. You can also use the Test Connection button on the Connection page of the wizard to validate the connection settings.
