Checkpoint Wizard - Configure Web Service Checkpoint

Applies to TestComplete 15.69, last modified on November 13, 2024
Testing web services with TestComplete is obsolete. We recommend that you use ReadyAPI, another SmartBear's automated testing tool for SOAP and REST web services.
If needed, you can run ReadyAPI tests from TestComplete.

The Checkpoint wizard assists you in creating web service checkpoints. The wizard is called when you add the Web Service Checkpoint operation to a keyword test.

The wizard contains the following pages:

Checkpoint Wizard - Selecting Web Service (Web Service Checkpoints)

On this page you can select the WebService project element that corresponds to the tested web service and choose the method to be called.

Checkpoint Wizard - Specifying Method Parameters (Web Service Checkpoints)

On this page you can specify the method’s parameters.

Checkpoint Wizard - Storing Expected Response (Web Service Checkpoints)

On this page you can define the expected response of the tested web service and specify the XMLCheckpoint project element that will store the response data.
