The Stores project item includes a number of collections that contain images, files and other elements stored with the test project for comparison purposes. TestComplete displays this message when you are adding an element to one of the Stores item’s collection.
Each collection contains references to the files that correspond to the collection’s elements. For instance, when you add an image to the Regions collection, TestComplete saves the image’s file name to the file of the Regions collection. The image file is left in its original location. This scheme hides the physical location of the files and gives you the possibility of storing the files anywhere on your hard drive rather than in subfolders of your project’s folder.
However, in some cases, it may be preferable to copy the added file to the Stores folder of the test project. This may happen, for instance, if you are going to add the files to a source code control and the physical location of the file becomes important. Another reason for copying a file is to leave the original copy unchanged, so future modifications do not affect it.
To copy the file to the Stores folder, press Yes. To add a reference to the file that reside in its original location, press No.
