This message is displayed if TestComplete cannot obtain the counter list for the application or computer specified for monitoring. To resolve the problem, make sure that the following conditions are met:

The computer name, IP and URL are spelled correctly.

The computer is on and accessible from your computer (for example, you can ping it successfully).

The computer is enabled for remote performance monitoring as described in the Enabling Performance Monitoring topic.
Note: If the monitored computer is localhost, and it is running under Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista with the UAC (User Account Control) enabled, TestComplete must be launched with administrator privileges. The easiest way to launch TestComplete that way is to right-click its shortcut and choose “Run as administrator” from the context menu. See also Using TestComplete With Administrator Privileges.
