Project Options Dialog

The Project Options dialog lets you specify default options that affect TestComplete projects.

To open the Project Options dialog, select Tools > Options from the main menu and then select General > Project from the tree displayed on the left side of the resulting Options dialog.

You can change the following options:

  • Default project folder - The full path to the folder in which TestComplete creates new projects by default.

  • Number of recently used projects to keep - The number of items in the list of recently used projects, which are available in the File > Recent menu and on the Start Page. The default value is 8.

  • Default language - The scripting language suggested by default to use in all newly created TestComplete projects. You can select one of the following languages:

    • JavaScript

    • Python

    • VBScript

    • JScript (legacy, not recommended)

    • DelphiScript (legacy, not recommended)

  • At startup - What TestComplete should do after you launch it:

    • Open Start Page - TestComplete shows the Start Page.

    • Open last project - TestComplete loads the last test project you were working on. If you had no open project last time you closed TestComplete, TestComplete does not open any project.

    • Do nothing - TestComplete shows an empty workspace.
