What's New in TestComplete 15.79

Below are the changes made to TestComplete 15.79 relative to the previous version of the product, TestComplete 15.78. For information on the changes made to other versions, see Version History.

• Enhanced stability and security. TestComplete has enhanced its testing environment by updating its libraries and packages.

• Tests failing in parallel cloud environments for Appium and headless browser execution. Fixed an issue where tests running in parallel cloud environments with Appium or headless browsers failed to execute due to synchronization and session management conflicts.

• Status code 410 when linking the Zephyr test case in TestComplete. Fixed an issue where attempting to link a Zephyr test case in TestComplete returned a “410” status code, preventing successful synchronization between the two systems.

• Objects returned by Python functions when imported and used in a different file. Fixed an issue where objects returned by Python functions were shown as “not defined” when the function was imported and used in other script files.

  Note:

  This behavior is related to Python’s version upgrade process and not specific to TestComplete. Scripts created in Python 3.11 may need updates to work correctly with Python 3.13. For more information, see the Migrating to Python 3.13 and Working with TestComplete Global Objects in Python 3.13.

• Headless testing not working. Fixed an issue where running tests in Headless Mode displayed the error message “Browser name is not specified,” preventing headless execution from starting properly.

• TestExecute crashes when canceling test execution. Fixed an issue where TestExecute unexpectedly crashed when a user canceled a running test execution.

• SAP GUI testing issues. Fixed an issue where using the TestComplete Object Spy with SAP GUI 8.00 could cause the SAP application to crash.
