What Happens?
Recent versions of Firefox can run in multiprocess mode. In version 53 and earlier, this mode was optional. Since Firefox 54, this is the default functioning mode of the browser.
When this mode is active, TestComplete may experience issues while working with Firefox. The issues can vary depending on the Firefox configuration. For example, TestComplete may be unable to –
-
Recognize web dialogs like Alert, Confirm and Prompt, and record user actions on them.
-
Determine the active tab in Firefox correctly.
If TestComplete detects Firefox running in multiprocess mode, it displays this message to warn you about possible issues.
What to Do?
To avoid issues, disable the multiprocess mode in Firefox.
