TestComplete shows this message when you are trying to record a test in Microsoft Edge. Recording tests in the non-Chromium version of Edge is not supported starting from TestComplete version 14.70.

To record your test, you can use either the version of Edge that is based on the Chromium engine or any other web browser that TestComplete supports (for example, Chrome). For the list of supported web browsers, see Supported Development Tools - Web. The resulting tests will be compatible with all the browsers that TestComplete supports including the non-Chromium version of Edge.

To test your web application in the non-Chromium version of Edge, you can record your test in any supported web browser and then run the recorded test in the needed Edge version with no or with minimum modifications.

To stop the current recording session, click Stop Recording.

To continue recording in your version of Edge anyway, click Continue. We do not guarantee that the test will be recorded correctly.
