This topic provides information about various editor options such as font, line numbers visibility, request and response validation and so on.
To configure the editor options:

Click
on the ReadyAPI toolbar. -
Select the Editor tab in the left part of the ReadyAPI Preferences window and configure the needed options.
The available options and their descriptions are in the table below.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Editor font | Specifies the font used for all multi-line editors. The Select Font button opens a dialog where you select the desired font and size. |
| Text field font | Specifies the font used for all single-line text fields. The Select Font button opens a dialog where you select the desired font and size. |
| XML line numbers | If selected, ReadyAPI shows line numbers in all XML editors by default. To enable or disable the option while working with editors, use Alt+L. |
| Disable auto-resize | If selected, automatic resizing of request and response editors is disabled. |
| Tabbed request view | If selected, the request and response editors are organized into tabs. |
| Validate requests | If selected, requests are validated automatically before they are submitted from the request editor. You can also use the Alt+V shortcut in the editor to validate your requests. |
| Abort on invalid | It is enabled along with Validate Requests. If selected, the requests that fail validation are not submitted. |
| Validate responses | If selected, responses are validated automatically. You can also use the Alt+V shortcut in the editor to validate your responses. |
