Getting License Information on Headless Machines

You can use the command-line License Manager to get information about your installed license.

  • Download the License Manager from the SmartBear website.

    Note: The License Manager requires Java 12. You can use Java shipped with ReadyAPI or download the required version from https://jdk.java.net/archive/.
  • To get license information, run the License Manager .bat (or .sh on Linux and macOS) file with the -i option.

    • For example, if you use Java shipped with ReadyAPI, perform the following commands:

      cd <ReadyAPI directory>\jre\bin
      <path to license manager>\license-manager.bat -i
    • If you use Java 12 installed in your operating system, perform the following command:

      license-manager.bat -i
  • The License Manager will ask you to select what license information (SoapUI, LoadUI or ServiceV) you want to get. Specify the license by entering the relevant number.

  • The following information will be displayed:

    • Licensed Tool

    • License Number

    • License Type

    • Issue Date

    • Expiration Date
