Creating Virtual Service From API Spec in Project

You can quickly create a virtual service (or virtual API) from an API specification that you added to your ReadyAPI project.

You can do this –

  1. Select the APIs (Virtual) node and select Service on the toolbar:

  2. In the subsequent dialog, select Definition on the left and From existing API in project on the right, and click OK:

  3. If your project includes several APIs, ReadyAPI will ask you to choose one of them.

  4. ReadyAPI will read data from the project API and add appropriate operations to the virtual service.

Creating virtual service from the projects page

To create a virtual service, you use the Generate Virtual Service command that you can find in the APIs main menu or the context menu:
