You use MongoDB monitors to check the metrics of your MongoDB databases.

Requirements

There is no specific requirements to monitor MongoDB databases.

Monitor Settings

  • Port – The port used to communicate with the server.

  • UserName – The user account LoadUI uses to connect to the database.

  • Password – The password used to connect to the server.

  • Database – The database to monitor.

Frequently Used Metrics

MongoDB database metrics contain information about the database usage during the test run. LoadUI displays the following statistics in charts by default:

  • Database operations – query – The total number of queries to the database during the test run. Database queries usually involve reading data from the hard drive and can take some time. The queries that hit cached data are much faster.

  • Memory usage – virtual – The amount of virtual memory used by the MongoDB process.

Other Metrics

LoadUI retrieves statistics by using the MongoDB serverStatus command. For a complete description of the available metrics, see the MongoDB documentation. Below is a sample list of available metrics:
