Burst Profile

The Burst profile simulates the base number of virtual users (VUs load type) or arriving virtual users (Rate load type) during the Base period, then increases this number for the Burst period. After this burst, the simulation returns back to the Base level.

Depeneding on a load type, the Burst profile has different options. See the table below to learn more:

Load Type Option Description
VUs Base VUs The number of users working with the server during the base period.
Burst VUs The number of users working with the server during the burst period.
Base duration The duration of the base period.
Burst duration The duration of the burst period.
Wait time The time to wait before restarting a virtual user.
Rate Base arriving users The number of users starting the test per unit of time during the base period.
Burst arriving users The number of users starting the test per unit of time during the burst period.
Base duration The duration of the base period.
Burst duration The duration of the burst period.
