You can deactivate licenses on headless machines by using a command-line license manager.
Download the License Manager packaged application from the SmartBear website.
|Note:||The License Manager requires Java 12. You can use Java shipped with ReadyAPI or download the required version from https://jdk.java.net/archive/.|

If you use Java 12 installed in your operating system, perform the following command:
The License Manager will ask you to select the product license you want to deactivate. Specify the product by entering the relevant number.
Confirm that you want to deactivate the selected license.
The License Manager will ask you to choose the deactivation mode (Online or Offline).
If your computer can access
https://deactivation.smartbear.com, enter 1 to select online deactivation.
If your computer does not have an Internet connection, enter 2 to select offline deactivation.
If you select online deactivation, the License Manager will complete the deactivation procedure. You will not have to do anything else.
If you select offline deactivation, the License Manager will display text like this one:
Copy the text and send it to email@example.com from a computer that has an Internet connection. The SmartBear license service will deactivate your license.
|If you do not send this email, the license will be deactivated locally, but it will not be deactivated on the SmartBear license server. Make sure you have sent the email before proceeding.|
|Tip:||On Windows, you can right-click and select Mark to select text in the command line. Then, press Enter to copy the selected text. Make sure to remove extra line breaks before sending an email.|
After you send the deactivation email, the license will be deactivated. Press Enter to complete the deactivation.
