Updating SOAP Request Test Steps

You can copy the interface request from the APIs node to one or more existing SOAP Request test steps of the appropriate type.

You can only copy one interface request at a time.

To update a SOAP Request test step:

1. Right-click the SOAP request in the APIs node and select Copy to Requests.

   

2. In the resulting dialog, configure the parameters:

   

   • Select the copy mode in the Modes drop-down list.

     Option	Description
     Overwrite	Replaces existing requests. Removes all old request data.
     Update	Merges requests and resolves conflicts in favor of new data.
     Keep existing	Merges requests and resolves conflicts in favor of old data.

   • Select the requests to copy the API to.

   • If you need to back up a request before modifying it, select Create Backups. ReadyAPI will create copies of all requests you have modified.

   • Select Open Requests to display the list of all modified requests.

3. Click OK to copy the requests.
