SaaS 12.71

  • You can now generate a link to a report so that a user who has no access to QAComplete can view the report. To generate a link, on the Reports page, click the Copy External Link button next to the report you want to provide accsess to. To view a list of available links, click External Links in the top right corner of the Reports page.

  • Jira integration: You can now use an existing field mapping as a template to configure a new one.

  • A number of bugs reported by our customers have been fixed.

On-Premises 12.71

This version includes the changes made to the SaaS versions (12.61 - 12.71) that were released after the previous On-Premises release (ver. 12.60).

  • Overall improvements:

    • You can now share the current view with any QAComplete user by copying its URL from the address bar.

    • When importing items from a CSV file, QAComplete now automatically creates a folder and subfolders based on the data in the CSV file.

    • When creating a filter condition, you can now compare the values of the Owner and Assigned To fields.

    • You can now navigate to a folder by clicking the pencil icon above an item list and specifying the folder path in the /Folder/Subfolder format.

    • A new UI for the Tools > Manage Choice Lists and Tools > Manage Custom Fields screens.

  • Jira Integration:

    • You can now use an existing field mapping as a template to configure a new one.

  • Improvements related to testing:

    • A new field, Criteria, is available for test steps. Use it to specify step-level data conditions. To add this field to test steps, select the Add the Criteria field to test steps option in System Options.

    • Now to make population of the Actual Results field mandatory during test execution, you can use the new Actual Results data is required option in System Configuration > System Options.

    • Test Runner has the new Link Defect button to create a defect or to link the test to an existing defect during the test run.

  • Improved editing:

    You can now:

    • Delete items on the Run History tab when editing tests or test sets.

    • Bulk edit test schedules by using Fast Edit.

    • Sort items on the Linked Items tab of the edit screen.

    • Use the Insert File and Insert Image actions of rich text editors to insert links to files attached to the current item.

  • Reporting improvements:

    • New reports:

      • Test Sets Detail Report

      • Test Coverage Run Details by Test Set

      • Test Coverage Run Details by Configuration

      • Test Coverage Run Details by Requirement

    • Copying saved reports: When you rename a saved report, you can choose to create its copy with a new name.

    • The Test Library Detail Report form has now a new field –Steps (Expand call test steps). If you add it to the list of chosen fields, your reports will include both the steps of your test and the steps of the called tests.
