SaaS 12.60

  • You can now automatically assign an item to its owner once the item reaches certain status (for example, after a defect is fixed). To do that, use the new Assign to Owner item of the Upon changing to ... status, automatically assign to menu on the System Configuration > Screen Layouts > Workflow and State Transitions page.

  • You can now use the Number of linked items fields (Number of linked tests, Number of linked defects, and so on) to filter items by the number of linked tests, defects and so on.

  • When creating or editing a scheduled test run, you can now link it to a release or configuration using the Link Run to Release or Link Run to Configuration drop-down menu respectively.

  • System Configuration > System Options include a new option you can use to allow or disallow users to start a test or a test set when no configuration is specified.

  • You can now display a printable version of an item list by clicking Print in the Tools menu.

  • A number of bugs reported by our customers have been fixed.

On-Premises 12.60

This version includes the changes made to the SaaS versions (12.51 - 12.60) that were released after the previous On-Premises release (ver. 12.50).

  • New system options:

    • The new Import Profile combo box in System Configuration > System Options helps you quickly choose an import profile for tests.

    • You can now automatically assign an item to its owner once the item reaches certain status (for example, after a defect is fixed). To do that, use the new Assign to Owner item of the Upon changing to ... status, automatically assign to menu on the System Configuration > Screen Layouts > Workflow and State Transitions page.

    • System Configuration > System Options include a new option you can use to allow or disallow users to start a test or a test set when no configuration is specified.

    • A new date format is available in system options: YYYY-MM-DD.

  • Improved filtering:

    • You can now filter items by release in the Linked Items dialog.

    • You can now use the Number of linked items fields (Number of linked tests, Number of linked defects, and so on) to filter items by the number of linked tests, defects and so on.

    • The new Tools > Show/Hide Inactive Items menu command on the Dashboard screen allows you to show or hide inactive items in chart filters.

  • Fast Edit improvements:

    • The changes made via Fast Edit are now reflected on the History tab of the changed items.

    • Use the new Keep Source Folder Structure option on the Fast Edit screen to preserve the folder structure when copying or moving items from one project to another by using Fast Edit.

  • Changes made to the Lists module:

    • New field type: Choice List (Multiselect).

    • List items can now be linked to Test Sets and Release items.

  • Improved importing/exporting:

    • You can now export a list of releases, agile tasks, requirements, or other items to an XML file.

    • You can now export and import tests that contain call test steps.

  • Improvements related to running and scheduling tests:

    • Use the new N/A test run status to indicate that the status is undefined.

    • You can now specify a default test host for the entire test set on the Edit page of the Test Management > Test Sets screen.

    • You can now choose another release when restarting a test run.

    • When creating or editing a scheduled test run, you can now link it to a release or configuration using the Release to Link or Configuration to Link drop-down menu respectively.

  • Reporting improvements:

    • Inactive projects and releases are now grayed-out in the Project and Release drop-down menus on the Reports > Create a Report page.

    • Share your report with other QAComplete users by clicking the new Shared button next to the report name when adding or editing the report.

  • Improvements related to sending emails and notifications:

    • You can now configure email alerts for specific projects.

    • A new UI for the Send Email form.

  • REST API improvements:

    • A new operation to get the item history: GET /projects/{ProjectId}/{EntityCode}/{EntityId}/audits.

    • Operations that create and update tests and test set items have a new field, DefaultHostId, that specifies the Run By Host value.

  • Other improvements:

    • You can now display a printable version of an item list by clicking Print in the Tools menu.

    • The Choose Fields dialog now has the Restore Default button to restore the default set of fields.

    • Now if you link or unlink an item, this change is reflected in the history of changes of the affected items.

    • You can now synchronize Select List (cascading) fields in Jira with sublists in QAComplete.

    • Images inserted into the rich text editor are now stored as links to the image files.

  • A number of bugs reported by our customers have been fixed.

We have discontinued support for SQL Server 2008. We will not test QAComplete with this version, nor will we create patches for it. QAComplete may still work with it, but we do not guarantee that it will work correctly.
