Updating AQTime Pro Trial Version to Commercial Version

To replace the trial version of AQTime Pro with a commercial version, you need to replace the trial license key with the “commercial” key that you get after purchasing AQTime Pro. There is no need to reinstall AQTime Pro.

You cannot replace the trial license of AQTime Pro with another trial license of this product. If you try to do this, an error message will occur. You can replace the trial version of the product with the commercial version only (see below).

The upgrade procedure is simple:

1. Log in to your SmartBear account:

   https://my.smartbear.com

2. Open the AQTime 8 Pro product page and find the license key on it.

3. Enter the license key on the License Manager PC as it is described in the following topics:

   Floating User License - Activation Steps

Notes:

• After you activated the commercial key, the trial key becomes invalid.

• Activating a commercial license on the computer where you have the trial license replaces the licensing data. The trial license will become unavailable after you do that. You will not be able to use the trial key to activate the trial license on some other computer.

To activate a commercial license on a computer where AQTime Pro trial is not installed, follow the steps described in the following topics:

Activating Commercial License on the Same Computer

If you want to activate a commercial license over the trial license, the steps to be performed depend on the license type you have purchased:

• If you have purchased a commercial Node-Locked license, all you have to do is to replace the trial license key on your computer with the commercial key.

• If you have purchased a commercial Floating User license, we recommend that you activate it on a computer (server) other than your “AQTime Pro trial” workstation.

  If you still decide to activate it on the “trial” computer, you can simply replace the trial license key with the commercial key the way it is described below.

To replace the trial key with the commercial key on your computer:

1. Launch AQTime Pro. Select Help > Activate License from the main menu. This will invoke the License Activation wizard.

2. Specify the commercial license key and other activation data in the wizard to activate the license.
