The PrivateNode web interface lets you install a newer version of the PrivateNode software on a monitoring location without rebuilding the node. You select the target version on the Upgrade Software page, and the node downloads and installs it, then restarts.
Prerequsites
Make sure that you have the following:

Network access to the PrivateNode web interface from your browser.

The web password for the node.

A node whose Status value on the Control Panel page is Registered and Enabled.

A maintenance window that covers the restart.
Upgrade the software
To upgrade the software on a PrivateNode, do the following:

Sign in to the PrivateNode web interface, and then, on the menu bar, select Control Panel.

Note the value of PrivateNode Version. You compare this value with the installed version after the upgrade.

On the menu bar, select Manage Location, and then select Upgrade Software.

Under New PrivateNode Software, select the version you want to install, for example, Version 3.5.4.

Click Upgrade.

Wait for the upgrade to finish and then follow the onscreen instructions.

On the menu bar, select Control Panel, and confirm that PrivateNode Version displays the selected version.
