Amazon EC2 Operations

The Amazon EC2 category contains operations that let you automate your work with Amazon Elastic Computer Cloud (Amazon EC2), a web service provided by Amazon Web Services. You can use these operations to launch, start, stop and terminate cloud computers (also called instances) that are stored in Amazon data centers, create and register Amazon Machine Images, create Amazon EBS volumes and attach them to instances, and so on.

In order to use these operations you must have a registered Amazon Web Services account. For information on how to register an account and on the functionality Amazon Web Services provides, refer to its documentation.

The category includes the following operations:

Operation Description
Amazon EC2 Allocate/Release Elastic IPs Obtains the specified number of elastic IPs for your account or removes elastic IPs from the account.
Amazon EC2 Associate/Disassociate Elastic IPs Associates elastic IPs with specified instances or removes IP associations.
Amazon EC2 Attach/Detach Volumes Attaches volumes to or detaches them from an instance.
Amazon EC2 Bundle Instance Bundles an Amazon instance and stores all the information on the instance to the Amazon S3 storage.
Amazon EC2 Connect Establishes a new connection to Amazon EC2.
Amazon EC2 Create/Delete Snapshots Creates a snapshot of an Amazon EBS volume or deletes a snapshot created earlier.
Amazon EC2 Create/Delete Volumes Creates Amazon EBS volumes that can be attached to an instance or deletes volumes.
Amazon EC2 Create Image (EBS AMI) Creates an image from the specified running instance.
Amazon EC2 Disconnect Closes the connection to Amazon EC2 established by the Amazon EC2 Connect operation.
Amazon EC2 Enable/Disable CloudWatch Monitoring Enables or disables the CloudWatch monitoring service that gathers information on the specified instances.
Amazon EC2 Instance Block Device Enumerator Iterates through block devices attached to the specified instance and obtains their parameters.
Amazon EC2 Instance Enumerator Iterates through the specified instances and obtains their parameters.
Amazon EC2 Launch Instances Launches the specified instances registered in Amazon EC2.
Amazon EC2 Register Machine Image Registers a new Amazon Machine Image and adds it to the list of machine images available to your account.
Amazon EC2 Start/Stop/Reboot Instances Starts, reboots or stops Amazon EC2 instances specified by their IDs.
Amazon EC2 Terminate Instance Terminates instances specified by their IDs.
Amazon EC2 Unregister/Delete Machine Image Unregisters a machine image from the list of available images of deletes a machine image from Amazon EC2.
If Amazon EC2 Instances Status Is Checks whether the specified instances are in a particular state.
