About AQtime Pro Trial Licenses
AQtime Pro Trial license is a 14-day Floating User license. It allows you to run one fully functional copy of AQtime Pro at a time, on any computer or by any user in your network.
Activation Procedure
- Download the AQtime Pro trial version using the link in the e-mail that you received from SmartBear after you requested the trial version.
Install AQtime Pro on a physical computer or a virtual machine in your network. Do not launch AQtime Pro yet.
- Download the License Manager utility. It is used for activating the SmartBear product licenses and controlling their usage:

- Install the License Manager on a physical computer. This may be the same computer on which you installed AQtime Pro earlier, or some other machine.
- Launch the License Activation wizard. To do this, click the operating system’s Start button (or Windows button) and select All Programs | AutomatedQA | License Manager | Activate Product Key from the menu.
- On the first page of the wizard, select an activation type: automatic or manual. If you use Windows XP, click Next to continue. In Windows Vista and later versions of the operating system, just select the desired activation type and the wizard will switch to the next page automatically.
If your computer is connected to the Internet, we recommend that you choose automatic activation. Select manual activation if your computer has no working Internet connection.
Your further actions depend on the selected activation type. Follow the instructions which the wizard will display on screen. For detailed information, press F1 in the wizard window.
After you activated the license, you can launch and use AQtime Pro.
Notes
- To activate your trial license, you will need a trial license key. You can find it in the e-mail that we sent you after you requested the trial version.
- You should activate the trial license on one computer only. There is no need to activate it on each workstation where AQtime Pro will run.
- The computer, on which you activated the license, becomes the License Manager PC. The licensing modules running on it will control the use of the trial license. AQtime Pro instances running on this computer and other machines will connect to the License Manager PC and request permission for the run:

- Automatic activation requires a working Internet connection. During automatic activation the License Manager exchanges data with the SmartBear web site (URL ls1.smartbear.com, port 443). Proxies and firewalls working in your network should allow the connection to this address and port.
- Computers and virtual machines on which you will run AQtime Pro instances need a network connection to the License Manager PC. When checking the licenses, AQtime Pro instances send requests to the License Manager PC via the TCP protocol and port 1947. The firewalls and proxies should not block these requests.
Uninstalling and Moving Licenses
After the activation is over, the license becomes bound to the License Manager PC. It cannot be activated on other computer. If you want to move the license to some other machine, then first you have to deactivate it on the current License Manager PC.
